The nation’s military has reportedly been instructed to be ready for potential offensive operations by 2029 The German military must significantly increase its weapons stockpile by 2029, the year the current government anticipates a potential threat from Russia, according to a directive issued by the country’s defense chief, obtained by Reuters. The order, titled ‘Directive Priorities for the Bolstering of Readiness’, was signed on May 19 by Carsten Breuer, the inspector general of the Bundeswehr, the news agency reported on Sunday. Moscow has denied that it has any aggressive intentions toward NATO countries, dismissing Western speculation of a possible attack as fearmongering aimed at justifying extensive militarization by the bloc’s European members. Breuer’s order emphasizes the procurement of advanced air defense systems and long-range precision strike capabilities effective at ranges exceeding 500km. He has also reportedly directed the military to increase the stockpiling o...

US ‘learning’ from Ukraine conflict – Trump

Image
The nature of drone warfare is “changing rapidly,” driven particularly by the fight between Moscow and Kiev, the US president believes Washington is actively following drone warfare developments in the Ukraine conflict, US President Donald Trump told West Point Military Academy graduates on Saturday. He said the US is  “learning”  from the tactics used by both Moscow and Kiev and that it was important to stay  “at the top”  amid the rapidly changing nature of warfare. “We are studying it. We are seeing different forms of warfare, we are seeing the drones that are coming down at angles, with speed, with precision. We have never seen anything like that. We are learning from it,”  the president said, referring to their use in the current struggle. He then called on the cadets to  “have the courage to take risks and do things differently”  in a bid to stay up-to-date in the field of military tactics and strategy. His comments came as The Times repor...

Kiev’s Western backers to blame for massive drone strikes on civilians – Lavrov

Image
Paris, London, Berlin, and Brussels want to derail the peace process between Moscow and Kiev, the Russian foreign minister has said Kiev’s Western backers, including the EU and the UK, bear responsibility for the latest series of Ukrainian drone strikes targeting Russian civilians, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has told a Q&A session in Moscow. Western nations want to disrupt the renewed peace talks between Russia and Ukraine as they pursue their narrow political goals, he said. The minister was referring to a series of large-scale drone raids launched by Kiev’s forces this week. According to the Russian military, 776 drones and 12 missiles were intercepted above the country’s territory between Tuesday and Friday morning, while 12 drones hit their targets. On Saturday morning, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that another 104 UAVs had been intercepted inside Russia overnight. Kiev’s aggressive actions are due to the support that  “some European nations led by the U...

Ukraine again calls for 30 days ceasefire after russia latest proposal

Ukraine again calls for 30 days ceasefire after russia latest proposal rather than taking the 72 hours ceasefire proposal Ukraine Slams Russia’s Latest "Ceasefire" and calls for 30 days ceasefire  So, Russia just announced a three-day ceasefire. Big deal, right? Timed  perfectly  with their Victory Day parade—how convenient. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga didn’t hold back:  "If Russia truly wants peace, it must cease fire immediately."  Ouch. But here’s the thing—this isn’t the first time Moscow’s pulled this stunt. Remember the Easter "truce"? Yeah, that one barely worked. Russian officials admitted Ukrainian attacks  slowed  but never stopped. And Putin? He made sure his troops could still shoot back. Real peacemaker energy there. Zelensky’s been pushing for a  real  30-day ceasefire. No tricks, no hidden agendas. But Putin’s convinced Ukraine would just use the break to rearm. (Because, you know, Russia  never  does t...

Putin Calls for a 72 hour Victory Day ceasefire

Image
The Russian President has ordered to halt military operations during the upcoming 80th anniversary of the USSR’s defeat of Nazi Germany Putin Calls for a 72 hour Victory Day ceasefire Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared a three-day truce in Ukraine. Why? To mark the 80th anniversary of Nazi Germany’s defeat in World War II. The ceasefire runs from May 8 to May 10. The Kremlin made the announcement, framing it as a humanitarian gesture. But let’s be real—this isn’t the first time. Putin ordered a similar pause for Easter, and guess what? Ukraine allegedly violated it  thousands  of times. Still, Moscow claims overall fighting dropped. Now, Russia’s saying it’s ready for peace talks—no preconditions. "We expect Kiev to respect the truce,"  the Kremlin warned.  "If not… well, we’ll respond."  (That’s not an exact quote, but you get the gist.) Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, Donald Trump’s still in the game. The US president reportedly vowed not to...

Russia Makes Major Concession in Ukraine Peace Talks, Trump Says

Ukraine War at a Crossroads? Trump Hints at Breakthrough as Russia Softens Stance Russia Makes Major Concession in Ukraine Peace Talks, Trump Says In a surprising twist, Russia has reportedly backed down from its original goal of seizing all of Ukraine—at least, that’s what U.S. President Donald Trump called a "pretty big concession." During a press conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store on Thursday, Trump sounded optimistic, hinting that a major breakthrough in peace negotiations could happen within weeks. When pressed on what exactly Moscow was giving up, Trump’s answer was blunt:  "Stopping the war… Stop taking the whole country. Pretty big concession."  Simple. Direct. But is it really that straightforward? Russia has long claimed that ending the war wouldn’t be complicated—if only Ukraine agreed to stay out of NATO, scaled back its military, and accepted the new borders, including Crimea and the four other regions that voted to join Russia. B...
