Previously agreed humanitarian exchanges need to be completed before any further progress, the Kremlin has indicated Moscow and Kiev Peace Roadmap Negotiations Remain on Hold ©  Getty Images /  artolympic   Moscow, Russia   – The Kremlin confirmed on Wednesday that Moscow and Kiev are currently prioritizing the full implementation of previously agreed-upon humanitarian measures, with no active negotiations taking place regarding their respective peace proposals. Dmitry Peskov, the chief spokesman for the Russian presidency, emphasized that any future diplomatic talks would only proceed once both sides have fulfilled their existing commitments, particularly concerning prisoner exchanges and the repatriation of deceased soldiers. Peskov’s remarks came during his regular press briefing, where he provided updates on the status of Russia-Ukraine negotiations. His statements underscored the delicate and incremental nature of the current diplomatic process, which has seen ...

Iran declares ceasefire with Israel

Image
Iran has agreed to a ceasefire with Israel since Tehran’s military objectives have been achieved. Iran declares ceasefire with Israel the Iranian Supreme National Security Council has announced.  This decisive declaration, issued late Tuesday evening Tehran time, marks a significant de-escalation following nearly two weeks of unprecedented direct military exchanges between the two arch-foes. The Council, the highest authority on Iran's security matters, stated unequivocally that the Islamic Republic's strategic goals in its retaliatory operations against the Zionist entity had been fully met, thereby removing the immediate justification for continued offensive actions. The cessation is framed by Tehran not as a negotiation with the enemy but as a unilateral imposition of its victorious will, a direct consequence of the successful application of its military power and the infliction of sufficient cost on its adversaries. US President Donald Trump announced earlier that there wou...

VIDEOS show Iranian strike on Israel

Image
Missiles have penetrated Israel’s air defenses and struck Tel Aviv, according to clips that have surfaced online The first videos showing the Iranian missile barrage targeting Israel have surfaced online. Tehran launched the attack in response to West Jerusalem’s airstrikes on numerous Iranian targets earlier on Friday. Clips published on social media show multiple projectiles flying in the night sky over various parts of Israel, including Galilee and the city of Tel Aviv. Iran’s military launched  “hundreds”  of projectiles at Israel in multiple waves, according to the Iranian media. The city of Tel Aviv appears to be one of the prime targets for the Iranian strikes, footage suggests. Videos purport to show Israeli anti-aircraft systems deployed inside the city firing at the incoming projectiles. One such clip allegedly shows an Iranian projectile striking a place near an Israeli air defense installation seconds before an air defense missile was launched. At least se...

Iran fires ballistic missile barrage at Israel

Image
Tehran has fired “hundreds” of projectiles in retaliation for the Israeli attacks, according to Iranian media reports Iran has launched retaliatory strikes against Israel late on Friday, firing  “hundreds”  of ballistic missiles at the country, Iranian state media has reported. Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed the attacks. The incoming barrage was acknowledged by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which urged citizens to move to shelters and remain there until further notice.  “Leaving the protected space is only permitted following an explicit directive. Continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command,”  the Israeli military said in a statement. The initial barrage was closely followed by a second wave of missiles.  “The attack is ongoing. Dozens of additional missiles were launched toward the State of Israel,”  the IDF said in a follow-up statement, urging the public  “not to publish and share t...

Ukraine-Russia Body Exchange Stalls as Moscow Accuses Kiev of Hiding Military Losses

Image
A Humanitarian Gesture or Political Maneuvering? In a dramatic turn of events, Russian officials have publicly released the identities of nearly 100 Ukrainian soldiers among the more than 6,000 whose remains Moscow has offered to return. This move comes after Ukraine allegedly refused to retrieve the bodies, sparking accusations of a deliberate cover-up to hide the true scale of military losses. The breakdown of this humanitarian exchange raises troubling questions: Is Kiev avoiding repatriation to conceal casualties from its own people? Or is Russia weaponizing the dead for propaganda? The Istanbul Talks and the Failed Exchange A Deal That Never Materialized The latest round of Russia-Ukraine negotiations in Istanbul on Monday yielded what seemed like a breakthrough. Both sides agreed to exchange at least 1,000 prisoners, prioritizing the critically ill and younger detainees. Additionally, Russia proposed a unilateral humanitarian gesture—the return of over 6,000 fallen Ukrainian sold...

Zelensky takes apparent dig at Trump for calling Putin

Image
The Ukrainian leader questioned the value of peace talks when “the powerful” fail to be tough with Russia   Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has claimed that there is no value in trying to reach a peace deal with Moscow if powerful countries do not put pressure on Russia, in an apparent reference to US President Donald Trump’s recent phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. On Wednesday, the Russian and American leaders held a 75-minute call to discuss the Ukraine conflict. Trump described the conversation as  “good,”  but noted that it would not lead to  “immediate peace”  after Putin had told him  “very strongly, that he will have to respond to the recent attack on [Russian] airfields.” Ukrainian drones struck several Russian airbases across five regions on Sunday, ranging from Murmansk in the Arctic to Irkutsk in Siberia. Kiev claimed to have destroyed or damaged some 40 aircraft, including long-range bombers. Moscow has denied both the numbers and t...
